Relaxed, Romantic, Dog-Friendly Weddings: Round Up #3

March 1st....are you kidding me? Can you believe it? Two months of 2016 down; ten to go!

How are all of you springtime brides faring? Remember, take each day at a time and ask for help when you need it. It is SO easy to get overwhelmed in the last few months before your wedding. I know I was a wreck! So, it's pretty important that you rely on your support system during this time. That's what they're there for! And, if you find yourself needing a little more help, reach out to me; I've got ya, babe. :)

But, alas, pup-friendly wedding round-up numero tres is up today, and it couldn't have come at a better time because, this week, I am heading up to Alaska to see the Iditarod! Talk about puppy love. {If you want to learn more about the Iditarod, it's history, and the sled dogs, click here.}

Anywho, this round up gives me a very relaxed, very happy-go-lucky vibe....and I loveeee it. What do you guys think?

An adorable, relaxed, brunch wedding in Florida with puppy love

This sweet couple had an outdoor wedding in Inverness, Florida, which made it a perfect setting to include their dog, Buddy. Buddy was included in the wedding and escorted down the aisle by the bride's brother.

Notice how light and flowy her gorgeous dress is? Definitely something to keep in mind if you're planning on having a wedding in during the summer months- especially here in NOLA or in Florida. Humidity and heavy dresses don't mix well.

It's always a good idea to have your pet leashed, and with a designated person to watch them on the big day.  You'll be so busy, and you'll be glad you had someone your trust watching them!  |  Photo by Emily Katharine Photography via Ruffled Blog

I still think bubble send-offs can be fun. :)  |  Photo by Emily Katharine Photography via Ruffled Blog

elegant wedding with a sweet + smiley long-haired dachshund

I'll just say it- I love puppy smiles. Can't get enough of how much this little Dachshund, named Roper, showed his sweet side. Pup ring bearer for the win!

3 dogs, one Maine wedding

I loved reading about this wedding, mainly because the bride refers to the dogs as her nephews and sons. So cute. She even talks about how, at one point during the ceremony, she had to pick up and hold her Min-Pin becuase he was crying so much to be near her. All the feels.

One thing to remember, though, is that pets might not act "perfectly" on the big day. And for most of us, that's just fine/maybe expected. New environment, lots of people, loud music; even the most well-adapted dog might get a smidge thrown off. But, if you're someone who will have a huge issue if her/his dog starts whining in the middle of the ceremony, you might want to consider an alternative to having them walk down the aisle. That doesn't mean that they still can't be a part of your day, but if it's going to be that big of a deal to you, consider the other options available for including your baby in the wedding without having to attend. {See one adorable idea below!}

Fun fact? My husband and I thought for sure that our extremely talkative Husky would wind up making some noise during the ceremony- which wouldn't have really phased us. On the big day, though, our sweet boy was quiet and very well-behaved. But it was our rescued Great Pyrenees who ended up stealing the show by puking right in the middle of the vows! Things aren't always picture perfect, and if you have pets, you know (and love) that fact of life. Just make sure you're prepared for it on your wedding day.

When Riley, the Min-Pin (Ring Bearer) refused to be held by the bride's stepmom and had to be snuggled up with Mom during the ceremony.  So effing sweet!  Did you notice that he's wearing a sweater?  |  Photo by Colleen Macmillan Photography via Offbeat Bride

and just to give you a little more pup-inspiration...

If you absolutely can't have your pets at your wedding, but would like to incorporate them, think about having a cake topper made in their honor. I love this bull dog cake toppper....so cute!

Weren't those pups just adorable? Tell me what you liked about them in the comments section below! Or, better yet, submit your pet-friendly wedding to be featured on the blog!

Until next time
